RealPlex e EpMotion: precisão e confiabilidade em RealTime PCR.
O método de PCR em tempo real permite que a amplificação e a detecção ocorram simultaneamente e, além disso, agrega vantagens como a utilização de sondas direcionadas que tornam o ensaio altamente específico para a estimativa da concentração de ácidos nucléicos de uma determinada amostra. Esta técnica pode ser empregada para Análises Quantitativas (RealTime): estudo do padrão de expressão gênica, monitoramento de carga viral, terapia de drogas, transgênicos (OGMs), controle de qualidade; dentre outros, e Análises Qualitativas (End Point): genotipagem e detecção de patógenos. O preparo das reações de RealTime PCR com o auxilio do epMotion tem gerado inúmeras vantagens no resultado final do ensaio, como por exemplo, minimizar o desvio entre as replicatas e reduzir os custos com reagentes, visto que o volume final da reação pode ser reduzido para até 5 uL sem comprometimento dos resultados finais obtidos.

2D electrophoresis has been used as a means for biomarker discovery for decades. Many improvements have been made in the last 30 years with respect to sample preparation, equipment for easy handling, imaging and analysis software. In order to take advantage of all features of DIGE as previously discussed, the appropriate software package is necessary. In addition, to spot detection, various normalizations, background subtraction, gel matching, and basic statistics provided by DeCyder 2D, an additional module is available. EDA (Extended Data Analysis) is able to apply common multivariate statistics to proteomics data. This presentation will discuss all of these software functions in more detail, with particular focus on the multivariate tools.
